Establishing an Effective Drainage System

CS Plumbing designed and implemented a gravity-fed French drain system to capture and redirect water before it could penetrate the home's foundation.

The project encompassed several key components:

A French drain system tailored to collect both surface and subsurface water from neighbouring properties, efficiently channelling it through gravity to a concrete pit.
A 100mm PVC pipe extending from the pit to the curb, featuring meticulously drilled holes for optimal water discharge.
Three new, larger-diameter Colorbond metal downpipes replacing the original smaller pipes, connected to new 100mm PVC piping that directs water to the curb.
A sturdy retaining wall system constructed along the boundary using concrete sleepers and galvanised steel posts, with auger holes drilled by an excavator to create a solid barrier that prevents water from the adjacent yard.
Effective soil removal carried out on-site using a dumper for proficient site management.
