This project involved the provision and installation of a Daikin ducted system on the upper level, alongside a Daikin high-wall split system located in the downstairs living area.

Precision Electrical & Air executed a comprehensive installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was strategically installed in the ceiling space above the void, while the outdoor condenser was securely mounted on the front balcony wall using rubber feet for added stability. All connections between the indoor and outdoor units were carefully concealed within ductwork as they exited the ceiling space.

To promote efficient water drainage, two drainage systems were implemented from the indoor unit and safety tray leading to the external gutter. The installation included meticulous placement of ducting, branch take-offs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, ensuring seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was also fitted in the upstairs hallway to optimise airflow within the system.

A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was created, extending from the switchboard to the outdoor unit. This circuit included an NHP isolation switch positioned conveniently next to the condenser. In the upstairs hallway, a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed, enabling intuitive temperature control that is directly linked to the zone motors.

In the downstairs living area, the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system was installed with precision. New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were added to connect the indoor and outdoor units. The condenser was mounted on rubber feet to ensure stability during operation.

A dedicated electrical circuit was established from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, which included an NHP isolation switch for enhanced safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, facilitating efficient drainage. Upon completion, the system underwent thorough commissioning to guarantee optimal performance.
