The skilled team at Precision Electrical & Air executed the installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system with meticulous attention to detail. The indoor unit was strategically placed within the ceiling cavity above the void, while the outdoor condenser was securely mounted on the front balcony wall, utilising rubber feet to minimise vibrations. The connection between the indoor and outdoor units was expertly concealed within ducting as it extended from the ceiling space.

To facilitate effective drainage, two separate drainage systems were established from the indoor unit and its safety tray, leading to the external gutter. A comprehensive network of ducting, branch take-offs, zone motors, and air plenums was carefully installed throughout the ceiling space, all interconnected to the indoor unit. A return air grille was strategically placed in the upstairs hallway to enhance air circulation and maximise system efficiency.

An individual electrical sub-circuit was created, running from the switchboard to the outdoor unit and incorporating an NHP isolation switch positioned next to the condenser. A MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed in the upstairs hallway, enabling superior management of the air conditioning system and its various zones.

This process included the installation of new ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils needed for connecting the indoor and outdoor units, with the condenser mounted on rubber feet to further mitigate vibrations.

A dedicated electrical circuit was created from the switchboard to the condenser, which included an NHP isolation switch for enhanced safety. To effectively manage condensation, an Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe. The entire system underwent rigorous commissioning to ensure optimal performance.
